Changing Out The Belts

I had to change out the belts on one of the pumps in a lift station. As you can see, they were rather wore out and squeeling pretty bad. Little bit of neat, but usless trivia about belts and shivs etc..... Belts are made to tighten only once in their lifespan. IF you have to tighten it more than once then you have problems elsewhere and need to find and correct that problem. ALSO, on anything like this application that uses belts in an industrial way, the pullys can and do wear out. Though they look and feel round they can have flat spots on them and that will wear out your belts quickly too. Anyhoo, hope you enjoy......
