WeAreChangeLA Investigates the appear Palmdale FEMA Camp

Several of us went to check out rumors about a possible FEMA camp in Palmdale, CA at Pearblossom Hwy and 116 St E. We got to the location and upon further inspection determined that it is NOT a FEMA camp nor is it set up to be converted to a FEMA camp. It is however a water pumping station used for pumping water up hill so that Los Angeles and be provided with water. The aqueduct is right next to the facility. A power station is also inside the facility, and this provides the power to pump the water. One of the main reasons this is not a future FEMA camp is the landscape inside the facility. It is made up of dips and valleys where water would flow and no place to actually place thousands or even hundreds of people. The unmarked vehicles in the facility are just that, unmarked vehicles. They are not the type of vehicles to be used to round up people but are just maintenance vehicles. The fence shows signs of rust which means the fence has been there awhile. If anyone wants to know what a potential FEMA Camp would look like, here are some things to watch for - look for spools of concertina wire, as well as barriers that can be set up in a serpentine formation (these are used often for many purposes so if you see them dont rely on this by itself - look for other evidence) Watch out for re-barb coming out of ground in large rows (this would be a huge indicator).
