1979 Dennis RS pumping hard as 1990 Ford Transit V6 ambulance gets a wash! Listen to the rumble off that Perkins V8 as the camera goes past! The Dennis in the video was new to Greater Manchester Fire Brigade in May 1979 and served in Broughton Station to 1989, and latterly Co. Clare fire brigade from October 1989 to May 2005 in Ennis, Kilkee and Shannon, I have had it since 2005 and repainted the cab and added ladders and other gear. This appliance has a massive 1000gpm pump & is believed to be the EARLIEST Dennis RS in existence in the world, this one was number 4 off the production line of 2500+ (chassis no is RS131/RA104) and to this day - over 30 years old, it never gave me a spot of bother. ***This vehicle was passed on for further preservation on the 12th September 2009 and I no longer own it***
